Internships

Internships

During their 3 years of studies at ISAE-ENSMA, students put into practice what they have learned and gain hands-on experience of engineering tasks through 3 compulsory internships.

E

Blue-collar internship

Between the 1st and 2nd year: a 1-to 2 month placement between July and August.
During this first internship, students work as blue-collar workers and discover the world of production. They learn to value the importance of human and social relations within a company.

E

Junior engineer training

Between the 2nd and 3rd year: a 3-to 4 month placement between June and September.
This internship is carried out within a company or a research organisation, in France or abroad, and is supervised by an engineer. Students work as junior engineers. Through this placement, they discover first-hand what the work of an engineer entails. It should also help them to clarify what field of engineering they are most attracted to and therefore, to choose their third-year specialisation.

Oral presentations take place mid-November.

Graduation project

At the end of the ISAE-ENSMA degree course: a 3-to 6 month placement between April and September.

Placed at the end of the academic training, this last internship can be carried out within a company or a research institution, in France or abroad.

Students are given charge of a study which a junior engineer should be able to conduct. They see the project through, from the design stage to test analysis. This last internship is a real springboard for the integration of young graduates onto the labour market.

Should an ISAE-ENSMA co-supervisor agree to it, the graduation project can also count as a Research Master Project. Such internships (graduation cum Research Master project) can be the opportunity for companies to make the most of ISAE-ENSMA’s research skills.

Oral presentations take place early September.
