The University of Poitiers, ISAE-ENSMA and CNRS pool their expertise
Thursday, September 5, Alain Rousset, President of the Regional Council of New Aquitaine, Yves Jean, President of the University of Poitiers, Roland Fortunier, Director of ISAE-ENSMA and Fabien Godeferd, Deputy Scientific Director of the CNRS, officially announced the launch the Aeronautics and Transport Campus and the Prometée 2 technological platform on the Futuroscope Technopole.
In order to pool know-how and offer high-level expertise, the University of Poitiers, ISAE-ENSMA and CNRS are joining forces to structure an “Aeronautical Campus and Transport” on the Futuroscope site. The purpose of this campus is to gather and put into action the functions of training, student life, research and transfer to the industrial world. The Nouvelle-Aquitaine region is already supporting institutions in this process. The first component implemented concerns research.
Supporting innovation strategies
Supported to the tune of 8 million euros by the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, the development of the platform Prometée 2 (Programs and test facilities for transport, energy and the environment) aims to strengthen the research activities for respond to the needs of companies in the sector and support them in their innovation strategies. Promoted 2 is part of the experimental activities of the Pprime Institute (University of Poitiers – ISAE-ENSMA – CNRS).
The second phase of development, planned from 2021, will focus on education, innovation and entrepreneurship. It will include the expansion of ISAE-ENSMA, to enable it to increase its training offer and set up a FuturoLab, a collaborative workplace dedicated to innovation and entrepreneurship.
